Art and science are the cornerstones on which I've built my professional career.  Originally  
I lead parallel careers as an exhibiting artist and as a biochemical researcher.  I combined 
both interests in the position of Biochemist at the National Gallery of Art, where I developed 
and published analytical methods for the study of art.  Still at the intersection of art and 
science, I began animating biomedical processes for textbook CD-ROM's and interactive 
Websites.  I also give presentations to grade-school teachers and students on the science 
behind art materials.  Ultimately, having grown up in South America, Europe and Africa, 
I bring a multifaceted perspective to each enterprise.  My goal is to continue to present 
education concepts in an interactive visual format.

Picked grapes for French vineyards in Burgundy and Alsace.

Counted frogs, snakes, and other reptiles for the the NJ Herp Atlas a volunteer for the 
Endangered and Nongame Species Program of New Jersey.

As an Audubon Society volunteer, gave tours of the Ballona Wetlands
to 3-6th graders in the Los Angeles Unified School District.
